What Are Permanent Wire Retainers?
Permanent wire retainers (also known as fixed lingual retainers) are a hidden and permanent way to keep the results of your orthodontic treatment. After treatment we take a 3D scan of the new position of your teeth. From that scan we create a custom wire that sits behind your front 6 teeth with a tooth coloured filling material that is shaped to be smooth and comfortable.
Why Are Clear Removable Retainers Important
- Our customer made vacuum formed retainers (also known as clear retainers) are part of your post treatment plan to hold the new position of your smile. These are worn at night to prevent teeth moving out of position over time. We will create the retainers are no extra cost as part of your treatment plan and give them to you after treatment.
