The main difference between ceramic braces and metal braces is the brace material. Ceramic braces are made from ceramic or porcelain material that is colour matched as closely to your teeth as possible. This makes the braces blend in with your teeth, while still getting the orthodontic versatility of braces. Due to the different materials ceramic braces cost more than all metal braces.
Ceramic braces have all the orthodontic advantages of regular braces to tackle larger corrections for your teeth, with the bonus of appearing less obvious than traditional metal braces. Invisalign is a clear aligner made from a scan of your teeth that is more discreet with no wires or brackets. However, on average it takes longer for a clear aligner to achieve results and for more complex cases an aligner cannot do large corrections. Always get a consult on which option is best for your treatment.
There is no functional difference between metal braces and ceramic braces for your treatment. The primary benefits of ceramic braces are being more visually appealing, if you would like a more discreet treatment option.
